Vintage mid-century side table with 2 shelves, circa 1960s. The top shelf is made of wood with a ribbed teak-colored veneer finish. The frame and the upside-down hairpin-shaped legs and the magazine rack with four bars underneath are made of brass-finished metal, which gives the whole thing a very nice look. The tops of the legs are designed as handles, allowing it to be easily moved if needed or desired. The piece has its 4 original brass-colored plastic leg caps. The piece is in good original and vintage condition, with some signs of age and previous use commensurate with time, on the whole piece, the top (slight marks and front left corner (see photos next to a 1 cent coin for perspective) Some marks on the metal (see photos) as well as a patina of time which only adds to its charm. Note a slight difference in height on the brass bar inclined by 0.5 cm to the left and right (see photo), this is how it was purchased and does not affect its functionality in any way. Some areas of discolored color on the metal and top of the handles (see photos.) The overall design has clean lines and the structure itself is both functional and stable. Perfect size to optimize space in a small room. A superb piece of retro decoration, which could be used as a side table, end table or other. All photos were taken in natural light outdoors, hence possible color variation depending on brightness, reflection and viewing angles. Top shelf: 29cm x 29 cm. Brass magazine rack: L 30 cm D; 25 cm.
