Compotier late nineteenth century of the service "Papillon" of Sarreguemines

Magnificent compotier of the late nineteenth century - rare. In fine hand-painted earthenware from the sublime "papillon" service emblematic model of the sarreguemines earthenware factory, the papillon model was made during its most prosperous period around 1875. Very beautiful polychrome decoration of flowers, dragonflies and butterflies. Good condition, because of its great age the earthenware has a little turned green, a small shine under the handle on the right (which is not visible in use) - see descriptive photos.
