This orange vase from the 1970s comes from the Poterie d'Albi in the south of France. The Poteries d'Albi is a century-old family business, known and recognised for its artisanal ceramic craftsmanship since 1891. They produce handmade pottery, including vases and decorative objects, using local clay, which is a treasure of the region. Each piece is handcrafted, ensuring a unique and authentic quality. The Poteries d'Albi is also recognised as a Living Heritage Company, highlighting its importance in the culture and craftsmanship of Albi. In this city, thousands of visitors flock to admire the largest brick cathedral in the world. This iconic monument of the Tarn department is a must-see. Now, back to our lovely glazed terracotta vase! This pottery is unique and dates back about fifty years. It is signed in relief (see photos). Geometric patterns are repeated throughout the pottery, created in relief. Dimensions: Height: 10 cm = 4 inches. Diameter: 11.5 cm. Opening diameter: 5.5 cm. Date: 1970s / 80s. Condition: 3 small chips on the rim above; otherwise, very good overall condition.
