A vase from the Ząbkowice Glassworks, designed at the turn of the 1960s and 1970s, made of transparent pressed soda glass. Its cool, colourless tone emphasises the geometry of the form: rhythmically convex, intersecting rectangles with bevelled edges create an impressive, deep relief with a distinctly tactile texture. The whole is kept in a clean, cylindrical form with straight walls and a flat bottom. The surface is covered with a shiny finish, making the light swirl on the smooth fields and pattern breaks. The construction is uniform, characteristic of pressed glass, and the thick walls ensure stability and solidity. No signs of wear, chips or repairs. Condition: very good, no damage. This vase carries the voice of late modernist Poland – a time when craftsmanship and the glass industry met halfway, seeking expression in minimalist but expressive forms. The relief surface seems to tell a story of fascination with rhythm and light; the pattern is almost graphic to the touch, and to the eye it resembles the architectural layouts of modernist facades.
