Desk lamp made of cast iron, steel, and ribbed aluminum, France, 1960s. A beautiful architectural desk lamp with a slightly industrial character, large in size and featuring an interesting combination of different types of colored metals. The lampshade is mounted on two slightly curved stainless steel tubes, on a heavy base made of covered cast iron. These tubes can rotate 180 degrees relative to the base. The most characteristic element of this lamp is the lampshade, composed of three different rounded parts in ribbed cast aluminum, finished with an elegant gray-green lacquer. The fluorescent light is well diffused, providing a practically illuminated surface. The sides of the lampshades are quite graphic and are well constructed/mounted. The light source is a long tube, still widely available on the market. The lamp truly fulfills its function: providing a lot of light, beautifully illuminating downwards at a wider angle due to its height (82cm). The base of the lamp has a very nice organic brown/green/marsh/patina painted color. The photos give a good view; we haven't changed anything about the colors/light in Photoshop or elsewhere.
