Absinthe decanter

This verse-water serves as a unique server to slowly add water and sugar to your wormwood. A dose of wormwood is first poured into the glass. Although a typical serving size is 30 ml, the amount depends on the size of the glass used. The pour-water is placed on the rim of the glass, then ice and sugar cubes are placed on the round tray under the funnel. Ice is added to the funnel and small amounts of water are poured inside at short intervals. Cold water begins to flow, or drizzle, through a hole at the bottom of the funnel on the tray containing the sugar cube below. The rate at which the water falls on the sugar determines the rate at which the sugar will dissolve. Once the sugar water mixture falls into the absinthe glass. Wormwood can then be sampled and more water (and sugar) can be added if desired. The most important thing to remember when preparing an absinthe is that it must be made to the taste of drinkers.
