Nubuck leather amphibious sofa by Alessandro Becchi for Giovannetti,

An iconic figure of Italian design, the Anfibio sofa designed by Alessandro Becchi in 1970 and produced by Giovannetti has managed to stand the test of time without showing any signs of age. Its design and modularity make it a true work of art to have in your living room. It has been exhibited as such at the MOMA museum in New York since 1972. Adding to this are its very high-quality materials and enveloping comfort, making it an obvious choice for any lover of timeless designer furniture. This sofa is an original edition from the 1970s, in orange nubuck leather (an option that is no longer available for current re-editions). It is the largest model at 240 cm long, suitable for 4 people, in very good condition, showing slight signs of use consistent with its age visible in the photos, but remains stunning for its 50 years. It has been in the hands of its first owners all these years, in a house in Basel, where it has been well cared for. Included with the sofa is a matching orange velvet throw, visible in the last photos. Dimensions: width 240 cm, height 70 cm, depth 100 cm. Depth when unfolded 200 cm, seat height 40 cm.
