Antique two-body buffet in carved wood - marble top - very good condition

Beautiful antique two-part buffet, made of wood, with numerous decorative elements and a lot of charm. It originates from French craftsmanship from the first half of the 20th century, in a style blending late Art Nouveau/regional/rustic decorative influences, typical of the Cévennes (between Ganges and Le Vigan). This piece of furniture has been passed down through the family. Its walnut wood and patina give it a delicate light and golden colour. The furniture consists of: A lower section with 2 carved doors and 2 drawers; An intact intermediate top made of white and black marble, with a lovely mirror; An upper section with 3 doors, including a central glazed door with frosted glass; Beautiful carved decorations representing, in particular, plant motifs and bunches of grapes; Its original hardware: 5 original keys, functional locks. A characterful piece, ideal for a dining room, kitchen, old house, or a vintage/chic country decoration project. The overall condition is good, with normal signs of use related to its age. Small trace of woodworm on the back, without consequence. Lock plate for the lower right door is missing. Dimensions: 133x35x179cm.
