Elegant executive desk with a double cabinet in modernist style, designed in the 1960s-1970s, most likely from the workshops of the German Democratic Republic (GDR), as evidenced by the official German-language stamp visible on the side panel. Its generous rectangular top is covered with light oak veneer in excellent condition, with no scratches or apparent marks — a pleasant surprise for an office piece from this era. The anthracite grey lacquered metal tube legs form a simple and structured H-frame, connecting the two cabinets with a central crossbar, in the pure spirit of the functionalist design of the period. The left cabinet opens with a lockable door revealing two internal shelves, ideal for storing binders or documents. The right cabinet, on the other hand, features four drawers with black Bakelite handles, the first of which is lockable — the original chrome ring key is present. The interior of the grey painted metal drawers is equipped with serrated rails for hanging files, an authentic testament to institutional furniture from the Soviet era. A piece that is both historical, functional, and decorative, perfect for a contemporary office seeking a bold vintage touch and robust durability. Dimensions: H 73 cm × W 160 cm — Weight: 30 kg. General condition: Good condition.
