6 Gijs Bakker Strip Chairs for castelyn 1970s

Set of 6 stack able dining chairs designed by gijs bakker, produced by castelyn in the netherlands in the 1970’s. The design idea of bakker was to reduce the complexity of a chair’s form until a clean image remained. Each chair is made of 6 strips of laminated pine wood of 11 cm wide that were pressed into their final, organic shape. They are in good condition. Beautiful warm honey color. Seat height: 16.93 in (43 cm).
