Swedish modern painting by swedish auction max gregor carlsson (1914-1996). Hand-signed the lower right part. Pastel on paper.in an original period setting. Max gregor carlsson, born april 14, 1914 in malmö, died in 1996, was a swedish artist. He was the son of master painter gillis carlsson and maria mårtensson and married to inez rosquist. Carlsson studied at skånska målarskolan 1945-1946 and for andré lhote in paris in 1953. He exhibited separately in malmö and limhamn and took part in collective exhibitions with the swedish general art association, österlenkonstnärerna at simrishamn, ęngelholms konstförening and konstförening konstförening since 1953, and since 1953 liljevalchs konsthall. His art consists of portraits, figurines, interiors and still lifes, often with an attraction for cubists. He was a member of the arildsgruppen and the organization for the cooperation of artists. Carlsson is represented at the malmö museum and eskilstuna art museum.
