Post office

The postal sorting cabinet or postman's furniture was used for organising letters, mail, and parcels before the postman's round. It could be found in sorting centres, post offices, and also in postal carriages. It can also serve as kitchen furniture with its work surface and shelves for storing jars and spices, as an office piece, or as an entrance console. The shelf is fixed on a slide and has a removable seat.
