Antique mirror from the 19th century — Transition style — 93x72cm — Mercury glass

Elegant Transitional style mirror, dating from the mid-19th century (circa 1850-1880). Wooden frame with a characteristic two-tone finish of the period — a wide central band with a varnished wood effect, framed by two golden fillets. Subtle and chic contrast, highly sought after in classic or contemporary decoration. Original antique mercury glass with some pitting — the visible oxidations at the top attest to the age of the piece and are highly appreciated by collectors. Period back with an old numbered label — careful provenance. Sold as is, unrestored. Very good overall condition of the frame. Dimensions: 93 X 72 cm.
