Black unmarked industrial work stool by Rowac/Bemefa from the late 1940s. "ROWAC" was founded in 1888 by Robert Wagner as a metal factory; the name comes from the first letters of the founder's first and last name, as well as the first letter of the city, Chemnitz in Saxony. Although Rowac produced a wide range of industrial furniture, including chairs, tables, toolboxes, and cabinets, the company was best known for its industrial stools, which have become vintage classics. The first Rowac stool was launched in 1905, featuring three iron legs and a round wooden seat. This stool has been cleaned and coated with a layer of wax.
