Series of 6 mahogany chairs period directoire, ca 1800. Openwork overturned backrest decorated with arrows, feet 'sabre' in sheath said to the etruscan, in the taste of the cabinetmaker georges jacob. Very nice condition, fully restored and refilled with a sober, qualitative and anti-stain fabric. Seat height: 44cm. The directoire style is a style of furnishing and decoration in vogue from 1795 to 1803. Marking the transition between the louis XVI and empire styles, it is characterized by a sober style and simple shapes.
