Icon of industrial design from the 1980s: the "Folding Service Cart" designed by French designer Louis Lucien Lepoix for the German manufacturer FRZ Metallwarenfabrik in 1983. This minimalist and ultra-functional piece has been praised for the ingenuity of its design, earning it a place in the permanent design collection of MoMA (Museum of Modern Art, New York). Its main strength lies in its patented side folding mechanism with push buttons: with a single motion, the cart folds completely onto itself to reach a thickness of only 7.5 cm, ideal for optimal storage (total space-saving). The tubular structure is made of brown lacquered metal, featuring two large trays made of white lacquered steel sheet. Its clean graphic lines will fit perfectly in a contemporary interior, an office, or a kitchen, serving as a side table, plant stand, or end table. Condition: Beautiful original condition "in its juice." The folding mechanism works perfectly and smoothly, and the four wheels pivot without any blockage. Note some slight normal and discreet signs of use related to its age that do not affect its sturdiness or vintage aesthetic. Open dimensions: 68 X 40 cm; Height 65 cm. Folded dimensions: 68 X 7.5 cm; Height 81 cm. Open dimensions: tray 60 X 40 cm; Height 65 cm.
