Tall Vintage Bedside Tables In Wood, Czechoslovakia 1930s

A rare pair of fully restored bedside tables dating to the interwar period in former Czechoslovakia. Unlike factory-made pieces, these tables reflect the individuality and craftsmanship of traditional carpentry, with each detail telling its own story. Originally found in near-derelict condition, the tables were carefully dismantled and brought back to their authentic form using original materials and finishes. The structure and top surfaces are crafted from solid oak, while the sides feature stained plywood typical of the period. The tabletops have been expertly restored to correct age-related warping. The lighter wood tone on the doors is original, gently refinished and enriched by a natural patina. Small traces of historic woodworm remain visible, preserved as part of the piece’s character—fully treated and no longer active. Unique, honest, and full of history, these bedside tables are ready to bring warmth and authenticity to a new interior.
