This very beautiful pie dish is part of a large utility service that I will be offering here in several batches in the days to come (if you would like the whole batch, do not hesitate to contact me). This dish is made of pyrite stoneware, with a very pretty enamel mixing soft and comforting tones: beige, caramel and chocolate, material and colors typical of the 70s. Its shape is charming with its pretty undulations. It will be perfect for baking pies or even quiches since it is quite high and the wavy edge probably limits the tendency of the quiche edges to fall inwards. It is signed hollow on the back jp with the handwritten mention "handmade" for jean-pierre prud'homme who founded with his wife, an artisanal pottery workshop in 1971 in monnaie, working with nièvre clay (stoneware from puisaye). This workshop still exists today (au grès du vent workshop), it is run by his son benoit prud'homme who took over in the 1990s-2000s and also creates very beautiful ceramics. This dish dates from the 70s and is in perfect original condition! No cracks, no marks, probably little or no use. It measures 33 cm in diameter, 4.5 cm in height.
