Art deco glass bowl with geometric relief patterns, circa 1920-1930, signed le lorrain. ■ the geometric relief patterns, frosted edges and frosted glass are typical of the french art deco movement. This style emphasized symmetry, clean shapes and stylized designs, often inspired by architecture and industrial arts. The pressed molded glass has a satin finish. ■ the inscription "nancy - france" and the style of the bowl indicate production in lorraine, a region renowned for its glass craftsmanship, particularly in nancy. ■ the signature "le lorrain" is associated with a brand created by verreries daum frères & cie of nancy. This brand was established to market molded pressed glass items, intended for wider distribution and at more affordable prices than traditional daum pieces. The production of these objects began before 1927 in a factory located in croismare, dedicated exclusively to molded pressed glass items under the brand "lorrain nancy". These pieces, often signed "lorrain", are distinguished by their geometric patterns and frosted finish, characteristic of the art deco style of the 1920s-1930s. Production under this brand ceased in 1935, due to the economic crisis of the 1930s. Some chips. Dimensions: height: 15 cm diameter 22 cm.
