Coffee table by Gerard Guermonprez, 1950-60

Coffee table from the 1950s-60s attributed to the designer Gérard Guermonprez. (See reference catalog - last photo) Rectangular clear glass top with rounded corners, resting on a black lacquered wrought iron frame with a magazine rack in Rigitulle (openwork metal). This table has often been attributed to Mathieu Matégot at auction, but we prefer to attribute it to Gérard Guermonprez. It is in very good condition. The brass cabochons are surrounded by leather. The glass is original. It has no chips, cracks, or other damage. Note: there are slight signs of use on the tabletop. The brass cabochons surrounded by leather are in good condition.
