Splendid and extremely rare pair of lamp bases in the pure Hollywood Regency style of the 1970s. A sculptural model named "Cactus" that was only produced in a few copies by Les Ateliers La Boétie in Paris and on special order from the famous decoration house Maison Jansen in 1974. Made entirely of brass, alternating between chrome-plated and gold-plated brass, the lamp bases rest on a substantial square base of 20x20 cm and 5 cm thick, from which a central shaft rises, topped with a socket and supporting 20 shafts of 5 different sizes with square sections, bevelled at the top and bottom, closed at the top, resembling the spikes of cacti. The assembly by micro-screwing is invisible as it is done from the inside of the lamp base. The sockets are made of brass, and the electrical wires in bronze (replaced) measure 185 cm. Total height of the bases is 53 cm. Of exceptional quality and in superb used condition, there are however a few micro-scratches and tarnishes that do not significantly affect the overall aesthetics, as these luminaires are dazzling. Ideal on either side of a sofa or as luxury bedside tables in a large bedroom, these lamp bases are just waiting for their lampshades in harmonious shape and colour with your decor to bring all their chic to your interior. Not to be missed!!!.
