The 'Glut' vase is an example of pressed glass with a distinctive vertical form, created at HSG Ząbkowice in Poland in the 1970s. Its massive walls, made of uniformly coloured glass in a deep, dark olive green shade, emphasise a clearly sculptural line. The irregular base with three gently rounded protrusions smoothly transitions into a slender, vertical body, ending with a narrowing edge at the top. The surface is smooth, shiny, and polished, maintaining a characteristic semi-transparency through which light subtly interacts with the thickness of the walls. The lack of decorative additions and uniform colour highlight the pressed glass technology typical of Ząbkowice from this period. The vase shows no signs of wear, chips, or discolouration; all edges are original and factory-finished. Preserved in excellent, collector's condition. This glass 'speaks' with the voice of the era when Polish glassworks experimented with form against the everyday reality of the Gierek decade. The organic tension of the shape evokes the spirit of brutalism: on one hand, the weight and boldness of the material, on the other – a clear inclination towards free, soft lines, as if formed like a drop of solidified glass. The olive shade of the glass slightly mutes the light but emphasises the proportions: a subtle play of reflections and depth forms on the surface, revealing the laboratory origins of Ząbkowice's glass design from half a century ago. The vase will work well as a central point of arrangement on an oak sideboard or a 1960s console. It can be combined with raw, concrete details or paired with light marble to accentuate the relationship between glass and natural materials. In mid-century modern collector's interiors, it can serve as a sculptural accent among minimalist decorations or muted ceramic bowls. Placed near a source of soft light, the olive green will reveal its nuances and tonal transitions, highlighting the organic character of the form.
