Superb antique American desk with a curtain, original model probably dating from the 1920s/1930s, made of solid wood with a very beautiful warm patina. The desk features all the characteristic elements of grand period American desks: sliding louvered curtain, numerous drawers, internal compartments, small storage sections, intricately worked side panels, and a large writing surface. It is a very decorative piece, both functional and full of character, ideal for an office, library, workshop, study, or an antique/vintage interior. The curtain mechanism is in perfect condition: it descends and ascends very easily, without any blockage. The overall condition is also very good, with only slight signs of normal use for an antique piece, which contribute to its charm and authenticity.
