Period: ca. 1920-1940 a magnificent and rare five-piece toiletry set made by the famous czech glassmaker josef inwald. It is made of pressed molded glass with square facets, a design known as 'milord', 'lord' or 'jacobean' in the uk where this model was very popular. The glass is heavy and of good quality. Its most important feature is the impressive iridescence of the color orange (known as marigold = marigold flower), with tints of pink, yellow and blue, something that inwald glass is known for. The set consists of a perfume bottle with cap, two lidded powder jars, a pin cup, and a carafe with its drinking glass. Condition: generally very good. The larger pot has two small chips on the bottom edge of the lid, and a micro chip on the edge of the base. The pin dish has a micro-chip on the base, but it's so small that it doesn't show in the photo. Dimensions: bottle: 16.5 cm high pots: 12 and 5 cm high cup: 14 cm long carafe: 17 cm high, 10 cm diameter glass: 8.5 cm high total weight: 2.05 kg.
