Ara table lamp, designer Philippe Starck, Prod. Flos Italy 1988. This polished chrome steel table lamp has a die-cast head, with a non-original replaced glass diffuser hence a price reduction, which is carried by a bent steel rod attached to a flat chrome base. The lamp turns on and off by tilting the head. The original adhesive label, as well as the original rubber on the edge of the lamp are present. The cable and transformer are original and have been checked by the electrician. Slight signs of age-related wear on the base, the lamp is in very good original condition. A rare iconic piece of PHILIPPE STARCK's work for Flos in the 80s.
