Royal winton-grimwades gurgle fish jug, vase

Rare vintage Royal Winton- Grimwades Gurgle Fish jug/ vase, originally manufactured in the 1930's and now considered a design classic. When liquid is poured from its open mouth, the jug produces a gurgling sound, the result of an air- lock created in the fish tail, which then bubbles out. Marked on its base 'Royal Winton Grimwades. Made in England', this jug is in perfect condition, with only very slight crazing in the glaze commensurate with age. Sourced from an artist's personal collection of atelier objects.
