Large De Sede 'DS-46' Modular Sofa with armchair, Switzerland 1970s

A sculptural and flexible seating system by Swiss house De Sede, made in the 1970s. The DS-46 is composed of six independent modules, each with a deep bucket-style seat and generous proportions, designed to link seamlessly into various configurations. This sofa is made from 5mm thick buffalo leather, making it nearly indestructible. Incredible patina formed over the years. Very good condition. Some cat scratches are visible on lower places, but because of the thickness of the leather no real damage has been done (see photo’s).
