J.T. Kalmar Lustre Rectangular in Textured Glass and Brass, Pendant, 1950s

This is a magnificent chandelier/suspension lamp from the mid-century 1950s, designed by J.T. Kalmar in Vienna, Austria. The chandelier features brass and white-painted metal hardware, complemented by two thick, textured "frozen glass" elements that come together to form an elegant rectangular shape. The glass pieces are held in place by four discreet yet charming brass supports. The lamp emits a soft and comfortable light. It is in very good condition, showing only a slight patina on the brass. This modernist lamp offers a unique light source and has been re-wired for safe and worry-free use. The current height is 76.2 cm, but custom length options are available. The glass itself measures 34.29 cm in height.
