Vintage Baumann armchair 1959. The 280 armchair is a creation of the W Baumann editions. It is a small chair with simple lines. It is both lightweight, space-saving, and comfortable. It adapts particularly well to the limited dimensions of modern buildings. The principle of its construction is very simple. A seat and a backrest form the body. They are fixed by four bolts on two "arm legs". These serve both as legs and armrests thanks to the rounded part at the top. Its "arm legs" are made of varnished moulded wood. The model presented shows some signs of wear and slight differences in the colour of the upholstery (see photos). Attribution: they can be found in photographs in the Baumann factory catalogue from 1959. Also in the magazine "Meubles et Décors" or in the book "Baumann, 100 Years of Seating Between Tradition and Modernity."
