Antique painting (Oil on panel) from the late 19th / early 20th century, depicting an adorable bicolour kitten in its wicker basket, observing a bumblebee next to a magnificent vase of flowers (asters/chrysanthemums). Artist: Signed Léon Chevalier at the bottom right (signature very legible in red). Support: Oil on panel. Beautiful patina and period cracks. Dimensions (including frame): 59 cm X 49 cm.
