Mobile bar "alveo" design by Willy Rizzo for Mario Sabot.

We offer a refined example of excellent Italian modernism: a low bottle holder from the famous "Alveo" series, designed by the creative genius of Willy Rizzo and produced by Mario Sabot in the 1970s. This piece perfectly embodies Hollywood Regency style, presenting itself as a pure and rigorous volume, a solid closed form that serves as a sculptural element in the environment. The structure is made of wood with a precious glossy black lacquer with a mirror effect, defined at the corners by the iconic angular chrome steel profiles, a distinctive signature of Rizzo's production. The uniqueness of this version lies in its hidden functionality: the top surface opens with a lift mechanism for the doors from bottom to top, revealing an ideal bar space for storing bottles and glasses. Despite its imposing appearance, the piece maintains fluid mobility thanks to the retractable wheels integrated into the base. TECHNICAL SHEET Designer: Willy Rizzo.
