Three-piece Minty Oxford canapé 1933

We are delighted to offer for sale this very rare and highly collectible Minty Oxford three-piece sofa, accompanied by a pair of armchairs and the original receipt dated 1933. This lounge was made for Jno Lawrence & Co in Bearsden, Glasgow, and delivered in March 1933. It includes removable covers in good condition and frames in good condition that could be easily reupholstered if desired. This lounge is of pure Art Deco style, with lines, elegance, and a shape that evoke the New York charm of the 1930s. It belongs to a museum for its rarity and originality. Sofa dimensions: height 86.5 cm, width 160 cm, depth 97 cm, seat height 49 cm. Armchair dimensions (pair): height 86 cm, width 75 cm, depth 95 cm, seat height 43.5 cm. This furniture lot is available in different sizes as indicated in the dimensions, with lengths, widths, and heights varying between the sofa and the armchairs. Condition: good, wear consistent with age and use, slight discolouration. Antique items like this may exhibit natural patina.
