Oil on panel, depicting a still life with lemons, dated 1948. Signed by the swedish painter bo irvall (1902 - 1981) Isorel support, wood frame. Dimensions: 45 X 54 cm on sight, 57 X 65 framed. Good condition. Bo (bosse) edvard johan magnus irvall, originally johnsson, born september 5, 1902 in falun, died july 29, 1981 in karlstad, was a swedish painter, drawing teacher and swimmer. He is the father of artist lena irvall. After graduating from the stockholm technical school in 1938, he then worked as a drawing teacher. As an artist, he exhibited with erik rudolf boije at karlstad in 1949 and with harry moberg in 1951. He has exhibited separately in sundsvall, sölvesborg and karlskoga, among others. He has participated in group exhibitions with the värmland art association at the värmland museum. Bo irvall was also an emeritus swimmer! He competed at the 1924 paris olympics (breaststroke 200 m).
