Double-sided mahogany empire desk

An incredible empire desk: a piece of furniture in very good condition, as you don't often come across! Flat empire desk in the middle in flamed mahogany with five drawers in the belt with gilded bronze entrance. It rests on four lion claw feet ringed with bronze, joined by a turned wooden spacer. Top with its original green leather (in super condition!) framed by a gilded vignette, decorated with two shelves of drawings on the sides (one of them has a varnish defect, see photo). Period: 19th century. Style: empire - consulate. Condition: very good condition. 4 drawers on one side and a dummy front for the reverse (the two sides are therefore identical - except for the buttons which differ a bit). Its dimensions: height 73 width 143 (open 204) depth 80cm.
