Handmade by the master, with the utmost care and attention to detail. Colourful vases in an irregular shade of brown. Signed with the author's signature and the manufacturer's mark. Gunnar Borg (1926 - 2007) remains one of the leading representatives of 20th-century Scandinavian ceramic design. Known for his handmade miniature ceramic and stoneware objects, primarily vases. He also created lamp bases, bowls, decorative dishes, and ashtrays. He began his career at the age of 14 at Andersson & Johansson in Höganäs. From 1940, he worked there for 28 years. The creativity and craftsmanship of the artist are evident in every object. In 1968, Borg founded his own workshop, where he operated until his death. Höganäs Keramik, formerly AJ Andersson & Johansson Keramik, was founded in 1909 by Johannes Olofsson and Sigfrid Johansson. Modern household appliances have undeniably taken a place in the history of Swedish design. Among the famous ceramists of AJ/Höganäs were John Andersson, Anne Nilsson, Rolf Palm, and Lisa Larrson, as well as Gunnar Borg. It is currently a design company that is part of the Iittala group, a Finnish art glass company. This set is in its original vintage condition. The colours of the products shown in the photos may differ slightly from the actual ones. This is due to individual monitor settings and lighting conditions – the photos were taken in artificial light, which may affect the perception of colours. However, we strive to ensure that the photos reflect the actual appearance of the product as faithfully as possible. The offer may include photos of the item in a living space, but these are for illustrative purposes only.
