A billet-doux was a small piece of furniture that once served as a fireplace screen and a small writing desk. The tablet was not very deep, so only romantic notes could be written on it. This one is a small model. We can therefore assume that its function as a writing desk was symbolic. This one is from the 19th century. It is made of walnut with a beautiful patina. Its retractable screen is lined with elegant silk with a butterfly motif. It is in excellent condition and can now be used as a shelf. The fabric, with a flower pattern on an ecru background, gives it a spring feel. Height: 83cm (screen lowered) and 103 cm (screen raised) width: 38cm depth of the tablet: 7.5cm delivery possible to the rueil-malmaison rer station for easy transport on the rer.
