Beautiful work of cabinetmaking for this shelf late nineteenth signed by the workshop schmit - paris. The furniture from the schmit workshops in paris gained international recognition, especially during the universal exhibitions of 1878 and 1989. It was treated against tendrils and painted in the color india yellow by farrow & ball.
