Art Deco coffee service in Aluminite Frugier

This coffee (or tea) service is a magnificent example of Art Deco tableware dating from 1930. Made from Aluminite Frugier (Limoges, France), this material is a porcelain renowned for its resistance to thermal shock. It consists of three pieces: The Coffee Pot (or Teapot) features a slender body with an octagonal structure (with eight facets), typical of the geometric style of the 1930s. Height: 20 cm. The porcelain is a pure white, contrasting with silver elements (silver or platinum lustre) on the curved handle, spout, and lid knob. The Milk Jug (Creamer): Smaller and without a lid, it follows the same aesthetic codes as the coffee pot with its faceted walls. Height: 15 cm. The upper rim and handle are entirely covered with this shiny metallic finish, giving it a very modern and luxurious appearance. The Sugar Bowl: This is the lowest and widest piece of the set. It has two short, sturdy side handles, also silvered, and a lid matching that of the coffee pot. Height: 12 cm. The stamp under the object confirms that it is a production of "Aluminite Frugier Limoges France". The inventor, René Frugier, revolutionised porcelain in the early 20th century by creating these pieces capable of withstanding direct flame while remaining elegant.
