This deep red rug is a vintage persian carpet woven by hand in the 1960s. The central design is made up of three large medallions intricately woven in accents of brown, cream and beige on a deep red background. The medallions are then surrounded by decorative motifs and floral patterns and enclosed by a layered repeating pattern border. Woven by master weavers using only the finest locally sourced materials including hand-spun wool and cotton that has been dyed with organic dyeing techniques which have been used for centuries. The materials and construction of this piece make it extremely durable and so sure to last for decades if cared for correctly. This piece is in excellent condition, ready for use in any home.
