Cabbage soup Bordallo Pinheiro

Very pretty soup pot in the shape of cabbage, soft green and white colors, with beautiful details in relief very realistic: the veins, the texture of the leaves. It must date from the 70s or 80s. It was made in portugal in the famous bordallo pinheiro earthenware factory created in 1884 and which still exists! Below, we can see the stamp of the earthenware factory and even a small label for sale in france. The lid has a "notch" to leave the ladle inside while closing the lid. This soup bowl is in rather good external condition: some small ginnings, the only visible of which is on the inner perimeter of the container (invisible with the lid therefore), the few others, located on the outer perimeter, are invisible, detectable only by touch. The interior shows signs of use: faded varnish at the bottom, cracked enamelling and stains, some embedded in the cracks of the enamelling. It measures about 27 cm in diameter for a height, including the lid, of 19 cm. It weighs 1.8 kg.
