Pair of Art Nouveau tulip vases

Rare pair of slip vases from the Art Nouveau period, circa 1900. In the shape of yellow tulips with a slender body with reliefs perfectly recalling the delicacy of a natural flower. The base of each vase is equally remarkable. It is decorated with small, carefully modeled flowers and foliage. The circular base has a granite appearance, imitating a natural ground and bringing a beautiful richness of texture in contrast with the glossy enamel. These vases measure approximately 20 cm in height. Their condition is very good for pieces of more than a century, a lack to note on a petal of the small flowers of the base. A duo which reflects the spirit of Art Nouveau with its plant forms and its naturalist decoration.
