Pair of chairs 210 Thonet for Ligna Circa 60

Set of 2 chairs/armchairs 210 p, design gebrüder thonet, for ligna, czechoslovakia, circa 60s. The design and inspiration of this model comes from the iconic 209 chair "le corbusier", but has a backrest. It had a canus or padded finish. The ligna brand is the result of the nationalization of several thonet factories after the second world war. The structures are made of curved beech. Both chairs wear their original green textured fabric on the backrests and seats. Each chair also has its original rattan cannage/strap, under the upholstery, which is in perfect condition, without wear (see photos.) the chairs are sold "as is". You can choose to upholster or update the original upholstery, decide to keep "as is" or remove the fabric, in order to highlight the rattan strap/seat (see photos). The wooden structures are in very good condition, original and period, with slight marks and signs of age and previous use proportional to time (see photos.) some faded finishing areas on all the structures, as well as the patina of age and time (see photos.) note: a tapestry nail is missing at the bottom right of the back of the back of one of the chairs (see photos.) they have only been delicately cleaned and polished compared to their original patina. Both chairs are solid and bear the marks of the manufacturers and the country of origin under the seats (see photos.) we have a third similar chair, of the same color and finish for sale, listed separately on this website.
