This beautiful glazed ceramic soup tureen is stamped Boch Frères, a family ceramics manufacturer in Belgium that took this name in 1844 but whose beginnings date back to 1748 and which is also at the origin of the Villeroy and Boch brand. Their website indicates some of the most used stamps, by comparison we can think that this soup tureen would date from between 1910 and 1966. Added on 09/25/24: this is the Septfontaines shape that we find in a 1936 catalog!! (thanks to the person who sent me this info ;) ) It is an off-white color, without colored decoration, simple but with pretty harmonious lines and a charming handle representing a pear. It has probably never been used because it is in very good condition for its age, no cracks, just a small chip on the enamel at the edge of the lid, barely visible and two small original defects (because covered in enamel), one in the soup tureen, the other on the inner edge of the lid, as well as "drips" of the enamel that are barely visible and original, under the anchor points of the handles (see the various close-up photos. It measures 31 cm in width (including handles), 25 cm in maximum diameter (excluding handles), for a height of 13 cm (excluding the lid) and 23 cm in height with the lid.
