Robert Pérot ceramic candle holder, Le Vieux Moulin, Vallauris.

Robert pérot candle holder (1931-2003) in ceramic fired over a wood fire. Signed and located under the base “r.pérot, atelier du vieux moulin, vallauris”. Height 9.5 cm, diameter 8.5 cm, weight 285 g. Candlestick with abstract decoration in brown and blue-gray tones, typical of the artist's productions from the 50s/60s. Opened in 1953 in vallauris by robert pérot, jean-claude malarmey and dominique baudart, the le vieux ceramic workshop mill which originally housed an olive press is equipped with a wood-fired oven. Robert pérot was active there until 1973, when he moved to paris and turned to sculpture.
