Henri matchavariani (born 1939) is a French painter, calligrapher and illustrator of Georgian and Romanian origin. He was artistic director in Paris and Milan. He creates numerous illustrations for the press (vogue) and advertising campaigns, notably for Air France. He worked closely with Helmut Newton on a project for Cacharel. His art is guided by the elegance of the line and by an imaginative gesture of flight, inspired by the Orient. His calligraphy corresponds to that of Christian Dotremont.
