Art Deco vase made by the Moser manufactory in Karlovy Vary (former Czechoslovakia) in the 1930s. It is an example of faceted artistic cutting from the interwar period. The object is formed from massive, transparent crystal with a warm, smoky-amber hue and a subtle gradient: lighter at the edge and increasingly deeper, almost honey-like at the base. The glass surface combines smoothly polished areas with sharp, matte relief cuts, emphasizing the graphic, geometric character. The whole is decorated with deep rosette and stylized leaf motifs, typical of Art Deco, arranged in a balanced, vertical composition. The vase is signed, shows no signs of restoration, damage, or chips – preserved in very good condition, with a high gloss and perfectly readable crystal structure. This item tells the story of the golden era of Moser from the 1930s. The clarity and weight of the crystal reflect the spirit of optimism and sophistication of the era, when geometric cuts evoked architectural ambitions and the speed of interwar modernism. The subtle shade variation – like a shadow cast by an Art Nouveau lantern on the night streets of Karlovy Vary – enhances the impression of movement and chiaroscuro. Each cut, like a densely woven network of rays, invites light to dance in the crystal and break into colourful reflections on the edges. This vase can be paired with glamour-style furniture and lighting, modernist accessories from the era, or contemporary arrangements that accentuate its monumentality. It works well as a soloist on an ebony or lacquered wood console, as well as surrounded by a low sideboard with a lacquered veneer or mirrored top. It is worth combining it with a single branch of sculptural shape or leaving it empty, displaying the glass cuts as a decorative element in a collector's living room, minimalist interior, or classic library with architectural flair. No additional technical recommendations or care details – Moser crystal is known for its high resistance to mechanical damage, but to maintain its shine, it is recommended to avoid harsh cleaning agents and to wipe with a soft cloth. The vase does not have specified dimensions; the whole is preserved in very good condition, with no signs of restoration.
