"Student" desk assigned to Guillerme & Chambron – Solid oak – A

Very beautiful "Student" model desk attributed to the famous French designer duo Guillerme & Chambron for Votre Maison. An emblematic piece of French design from the 1950s-1960s. Structure in solid oak with a suspended unit featuring three drawers and a black-covered top. The proportions, joints, and workshop markings present on the various elements correspond to the manufacturing characteristics of this period. The desk is in generally good condition. The structure is sound, stable, and complete. The oak shows a patina of use. The drawers function properly. To note: The black covering of the top has several marks and old notches. There are 4 stamps in the left corner (2 on the top and 2 on the wooden structure). There are scratches on the solid side of the desk, and a felt mark on the top of the unit. Family provenance: acquired in the 1980s in northern France and used as the first desk for a medical practice.
