Vintage Libertas ceramic wall plaque, San Marino 1950s

Large decorative ceramic wall plaque produced by Libertas in San Marino in the 1950s. The elongated plaque has a slightly curved shape and is hand-painted in vibrant colours. The scene shows two wild horses in a fantasy landscape with a deep blue starry sky, lush vegetation and expressive details. The combination of intense cobalt blue, bright red, white and green gives the object a striking and almost fairytale-like appearance. The relief details and glossy finish enhance the decorative character of the wall plaque. Due to its size and rich colouring, it is a real eye-catcher on the wall. Made of earthenware with hand-painted decor and glossy glaze. Marked Libertas San Marino on the back and equipped with a hanging device. The wall plaque is in very good vintage condition.
