We are selling a pair of cornucopia vases on a pedestal made of blown glass with enamel, signed by François Legras ("F" on one vase, "L" on the other). They are adorned with a magnificent hand-painted floral decoration. An elegant piece dating from the years 1900-1910. The two vases are of a good size (Height: 30.5 cm) and rest on a wide flared pedestal. The glass is enhanced with a lovely polychrome and gilded enamel decoration representing stylised pink flowers with five petals, highlighted by a fine purple vein radiating from a golden centre. The whole stands out against a gold background formed of vegetal arabesques and sinuous lines evoking Art Nouveau. In very good condition, with well-preserved gilding and some signs of wear consistent with its age. It is rare to have a pair! Dimensions: 30.5 cm * diameter of the neck: 10.5 cm, diameter of the base: 11.5 cm / Unit weight: 650 g.
