Very beautiful Italian ashtray from the 1950s. Hand-blown work from Murano in aqua blue/blue-green glass. To create this shape, the hot glass is blown into a ball, then warm air is sucked in to create a vacuum, causing the heated part of the glass to retract and form a hollow. A mid-century masterpiece. 7 cm high. 20 cm diameter.
